Unique Sportscars Novitec Ferrari F430 Calavera

By the end of the year the new Ferrari F430 Calavera will be released by car tuning specialists Novitec Rosso and design company Unique Sportscars. Along with the new design will be a custom airbrush paint scheme by Knud Tiroch who has been previously hired by some big names including David Coulthard, ZZ Top, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Besides the paint, Unique Sportscars focus is on designing improvements for the customers who would like a non-factory look. LED daytime running lights, engine performance packages, embroidered seats, and an extended center console to name a few. Novitec had the task of increasing the power by adding twin-superchargers for the the 4.3 liter V8 Ferrari F430 Calavera.

With the additions of the superchargers, the Ferrari has a new output of 707 hp and 525 ft. lbs. of torque, with a 0-100 km/h time of only 3.5 seconds. The aerodynamic improvements allow it reach a top speed of 348 km/h, while rolling on 20 inch alloy wheels with larger brake,s and a stiffer suspension. The suspension lowers the vehicle 35 mm, and underneath is an aftermarket exhaust system. Unique Sportscars are taking orders at this time for the Ferrari F430 Calavera, however, customers will have to wait at least three months for delivery.

Edo Competition Ferrari California Spider

Recently from Edo Competition is their latest car tuning news, about the work on the two seater Ferrari California Spider. The Ferrari California Spider is a mix between the Ferrari 599 GTB, 612 Scaglietti, and the 430. It was introduced at the Paris Motor Show last October, but is now available, and its retractable aluminum top is impressive. The Ferrari California Spider sits on a variety of wheels offered by Edo Competition, and they measure either 20 or 21 inches. Customers can also choose between having the vehicle lowered, or the addition of a sport suspension system that optimizes the ride for either daily driving or track use.

For performance, Edo Competition reprogrammed the ECU to increase the numbers to 500 hp and 369 ft lbs of torque at 5,200 rpms. Along with the ECU tuning, a high performance exhaust system is setup with high flow catalytic converters. These upgrades allow it to reach a maximum speed of 196 mph, and run a 0-62 mph track time of 3.9 seconds. The Ferrari California Spider has been extensively modified, and with the torque increases it is suited to be a daily driver.

Fabulous Ferrari F430

Japanese car tuning company Fabulous usually customizes luxury sedans in the JDM market, however they went with the exotic Ferrari F430 this time and I’d say they did a fabulous job. With most of the vehicles they modify, exterior styling such as body kits, large diameter wheels, and suspension including hydraulics is their specialty. The kit you see here consists of fiber reinforced and carbon fiber pieces installed, and is available for any Ferrari F430 ‘04 and up. It includes a new front bumper with spoiler attached, side skirts, a new rear wing with diffuser installed underneath, and also custom fitted exhaust ports.

Since the body kit added down force to the Ferrari and they wanted to keep the handling stable, a suspension kit was added as well. The car was lowered significantly, the body kit sitting only about an inch from the ground.
